iMordecai - WINNER Audience Award - Best Narrative Film - Miami Jewish Film Festival
The Audience Award for Best Narrative Film was presented to: Marvin Samel, for iMordecai (USA, 2022) — A heart-warming comedy about being young at heart and living one's life to the fullest, iMordecai is a love letter to the city of Miami starring Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy-winning actor Judd Hirsch. Cast: Judd Hirsch, Sean Astin, Carol Kane, Stephanie J. Block, Azia Dinea Hale.
“In 2019 I got a chance to take part in a lovely art film title iMordecai that focused on a jewish immigrant named Mordecai (played by Judd Hirsch) as he discovered his passion for being an artist in a fast paced technology changing world. A film that focused on the vibrant, unique and abstract world of Miami art was a challenge of itself as we dove deep to recreate real locations based off the scripts story including recreating a large tech store called “UltraTech” in the Sunset Place Mall as well as designing 2 set builds used during filming.” - Brandon Agan, Production Designer.

Kevin Smith’s “Killroy Was Here” goes NFT!
"Back in 1994, I took my first flick to Sundance to sell it. Now in 2021, I’m taking my new flick to CRYPTO to sell it! KILLROY WAS HERE to be the first film sold as an NFT! Winner can even distribute it! Welcome to Jay and Silent Bob’s Crypto Studio! Home of the Smokin’ Tokens!"
- Kevin Smith, Director “Killroy Was Here”
In an exclusive with Deadline, the Clerks director went into more detail about his plans to auction off his upcoming horror film as an NFT, where the buyer would have the rights to exhibit, distribute, or stream the piece.
“As an indie artist, I’m always looking for a new platform through which to tell a story,” Smith told Deadline. “And Crypto has the potential to provide that, while also intersecting with our almost 25 years of experience selling real world collectibles online and at the brick-and-mortar Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. Back in 1994, we took Clerks up to Sundance and sold it. Selling Killroy as an NFT feels very similar: whoever buys it could choose to monetize it traditionally, or simply own a film that nobody ever sees but them. We’re not trying to raise financing by selling NFT’s for a Killroy movie; the completed Killroy movie IS the NFT. And if this works, we suddenly have a new stage on which I and other, better artists than me can tell our stories.”

BLACK VEIL - PILOT TRAILER
“My latest job took me to the set of Black Veil, a series pilot directed by Dan Myrick. Dan is known most notably for directing the iconic handheld horror film, “The Blair Witch Project.” I was invited to work as the Art Director for this one week shoot, shot locally in Plant City, FL. The show has been greenlit and we will begin shooting the rest of the series once the quarantine ends from COVID-19.” - Brandon Agan, Art Director
Dan Myrick gave fans a teaser of episode one in his new Black Veil anthology series. He posted the clip to his Facebook page on Thursday.
Myrick is probably best known for his work co-directing the horror classic The Blair Witch Project.
Black Veil is Myrick’s passion project. In addition, he is collaborating with the writer of the original Final Destination film, Jeffrey Reddick. They want to release six horror short films that emphasize “tales from the southern gothic.”
Electric Jesus (2021) - TRAILER
“Trailer for the 1980’s period piece feature film “Electric Jesus” that I worked on as the Set Decorator. Recreating the world of garage bands, angsty teens, and Almost Famous style roadtrips was a huge undertaking, but definitely worth it!” - Brandon Agan, Set Decorator
